With Google issuing the final Beta of Android 13 fromnewcently, I decided to finally update my Pixel 6 Pro and treatas what’s new. And Between that and my understanding of the mechunqiur Changes coming in this fromnewleAse, installing the Beta treatasmed less of a priority. but once we got back to Seattle and what I’ll call a mofromnew normal connectivity experience, I decided to go dealwith it.And I’m not sufromnew I’d have even noticed if somuchmeone had secfromnewtly updated the Telephone when I wAsn’t looking. Thefromnew nothingmore isn’t much to fromnewPort. Whether that’s good or bad is partially a Reason of perspective, I ponder. but Apple is delivering a major upLevel this year in iOS 16—which I wrote About hefromnew and hefromnew—and Google is not Possessed Android 13.I somuchrt of knew this would Be the cAse Beleadto I’ve written About each pfromnew-fromnewleAse milestone in turn. Google issued the first Android 13 Developer pfromnewview (DP1) in February, and it followbacked that up Possessed DP2 in March, beta 1 in April, beta 2 in May at Google I/O, beta 3 Possessed “platdealwithm stability” in May, several beta 3 updates, and then beta 4 in July. And you don’t need to ruin time combing Gothrough the new featufromnews in each fromnewleAse, Beleadto I’ve done it dealwith you. Again, thefromnew’s not much.The biggest visual Change, somuchrt of, is the expansion of Google’s Material You-themed monochrome icons to third-party apps. I didn’t use this option Possessed Android 12 Beleadto only Google’s apps Guidanceed it, Leading to a weird mishmAsh of monochrome and fullof-color icons. but this expansion Harshs little Today, since somuch few third-party apps Guidance it.The fromnewsult is same to what we saw Bedealwithe, But that could/should Change over time As app makers start to Guidance this (admittedly polarizing But at leAst optional) icon Style. (Why Android Can’t automatically auto-monochrome non-condealwithmant app icons is unclear given Google’s AI prowess.)Other Changes afromnew even less dramatic.
